So, I'm behind on my coursework, but I'm happy because I dropped a class that was making me crazy and am now enrolling in class three weeks after it started. I'm even happier because I'm finally making progress on my part of the paper that Cedi and I are presenting in November. But the work that I'm behind on is cool...check out the blurb about the novel that I should have already started for the French class that I'm auditing:
"Set in the late 19th century, chiefly in Paris and Rome, this drama involves the alleged abduction of the Pope, a "miraculous" conversion, swindling, adultery, bastardy and murder. The characters are a motley crew of noblemen, saints, adventurers and pickpockets."
You can read the English translation if you're not up for the French: Look for André Gide's Les caves du Vatican or The Vatican Cellars .
